Tourist Attraction

Chiang Dao is breathtaking. It is only one-hour drive from Chiang Mai. Doi Luang hill, the landmark of Chiang Dao is the third highest mountain of Thailand. Fascinating experiences await guests such as panoramic views, sea of morning mist, the sun set, wild flowers, cool temperature and fresh air. There are also a lot of cultural attractions such as the Cave Temple, Ban Na Lao Mai Village, Doi Mae Taman, San Phakia, Sri Sang Wan Waterfall, Pong Ang Hot Spring, King Naresuan Stupa, meditation facilities, strawberry farms, vineyards, China Folk Center and Arunotai Village.

Doi Luang Hill
The third highest mountain of Thailand, "Doi Luang Chiang Dao" a must visit in Chiang Dao! Open for nature walks from 1 November to 31 March. Reservations and notice must be made in advance. Along the way, you will encounter various natural beauty
Chiang Dao Cave
The Chiang Dao Caves complex itself is supposed to consist of over 100 caves which extend for some 10-12 kilometres inside the mountain range but there are only five main caves which are currently open to the public
BanNaLaoMai Village
A homestay village overlooking Doi Luang Chiang Dao is one of the most beautiful. It is a village that emphasizes simplicity, no light and no entertainment except fog. Nature sounds Fresh air and high mountains ahead, suitable for inhaling ozone and relaxing.
Doi Mae Taman
Pa Kia or Mae TamanPa Kia or Mae Taman (Kia is northern Thai dialect that means "pine tree"). It is located in Mae Taman Water Management Unit. Tourists can walk to see and study flower beds for example: opium flowers, winter flowers such as Chinese bayberry, peach and experimental coffee plots. For those enjoy watching birds, there are also several kinds of birds
Sri Sungwan Waterfall
Sri Sungwan Waterfall is located in Pha Daeng National Park, around 20 km from Chiang Dao. If it is not impressive by its height, it is a nice place to relax and refresh. And the waterfall is charming. You have the right to bath in the waterfall even if in the different levels, the water is rather shallow, it allows to splash a little and should please the children and the adults who want to refresh
Pong Arng Hot Springs
A small hot spring sulfur gas oil steam and smoke up. Water flow throughout the year. Water temperature 70-80 degrees C hot spring located in the entrance area Pong village 22 km of road separate bowl Muang Ngai – Na Wai. Diving in naturally warm water ponds is very relaxing. Situated 3-4 kilometers before Sri Sungwan Waterfall, these hot springs are also part of the Pha Daeng National Park. The entrance ticket gives you access to both places.
